3. use of personal data
Personal data are only collected or processed if you provide us with this information voluntarily, e.g. as part of an inquiry. Provided there are no necessary reasons in connection with a business transaction, you can revoke your prior consent to data storage at any time with immediate effect in writing (e.g. by e-mail or fax). With the exception of the services mentioned under 2., your data will not be passed on to third parties unless disclosure is required by law.
When you register for an event on our website or apply for a demo license, we will ask you for your name and other personal information. We store your details on specially protected servers. Access is only possible for specially authorized persons who are involved in technical, commercial or editorial support of the servers.
Your data will be stored by INFODAS GmbH for further processing in compliance with data protection regulations until the end of the respective event or license. INFODAS GmbH uses some of the data (professional address) to contact you in connection with your registration for the events mentioned here.
If you send us your personal data as part of an application by e-mail, we will process it for the purpose of facilitating the application process. In the event of a successful application and conclusion of an employment contract, the data transmitted will be stored for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. In all other cases, the transmitted data will be deleted within two months of notification of rejection, provided that deletion does not conflict with any other legitimate interests of the controller.
4. legal basis for processing
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a (consent), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b (necessary for the performance of a contract) of the GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c (legal obligations of INFODAS GmbH). In the final analysis, processing operations could be based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. This legal basis is used for processing operations which are not covered by any of the aforementioned legal grounds, if processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data. We are permitted to carry out such processing operations in particular because they have been specifically mentioned by the European legislature. In this respect, it has taken the view that a legitimate interest can be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (Recital 47 sentence 2 GDPR).
Personal data are stored for the duration of the applicable statutory retention period. After this period has expired, the data concerned will be deleted if they are no longer required to fulfill or initiate a contract.
