infodas signs contract with Thales for German naval program F 126

infodas, an Airbus subsidiary specializing in cyber and IT, has been commissioned by Thales to supply IT security components for a German naval program. In total, infodas will equip six Frigates of class 126 (F 126) and three mission modules ‘ASW Lagebild’ with the SDoT (Secure Domain Transition) Security Gateway. As part of the contract, infodas contributes to the secure and efficient data transfer between different classification levels. The product is approved for the classification levels DEU SECRET, EU SECRET and NATO SECRET.

“We would like to thank Thales for the huge trust they have placed in us to provide our high-security solutions for the German marine. With the SDoT Security Gateway, the frigate’s crew members will be able to process information and data more efficiently. Our Cross Domain Solution is also used at test and training sites. Our products have been proven to fulfill the highest standards for modern cybersecurity solutions. The contract emphasizes our role as a trustworthy and reliable partner of the German Armed Forces,” says Tom Weyrich, Key Account Manager at infodas.

The SDoT Security Gateway enables the German marine the bidirectional transfer of data and the filtering of structured and unstructured data formats between different security domains. Cross Domain Solutions from infodas facilitate digitalization in sensitive or critical security sectors. With its cybersecurity and IT solutions, infodas has been a trusted partner of the German Armed Forces and the defense industry for over 50 years. The system house has successfully participated in numerous armament and digitization processes.

The first ship of the Frigate 126 is expected to hand over to the German Armed Forces in 2028. The main missions include maritime surveillance, the enforcement of embargoes and the support of special forces during evacuations. The ships use mission modules: they receive standardized equipment and personnel packages that are tailored to specific mission scenarios.
